iCopy: Will robots be the new writers?

With Alexa, driverless cars and SMART-just-about-everything, it was only a matter of time before machine learning took over the written word. In this blog, I examined the increasing influence of artificial intelligence in copywriting, how algorithms are used to evoke emotional responses and if maybe, just maybe, a machine could steal my job one day.

In September 2017, I was given an unbeatable opportunity to attend Copy Cabana, an industry leading (and pun-tactic) copywriting conference in Bournemouth. One of my favourite talks of the day was from Kerry Thorpe, Communications Lead at Ben and Jerry’s Europe. In this blog, I discussed what I learned about the clever copywriting and wicked wordplay that made up the iconic Ben and Jerry’s tone of voice.
